Social media marketing is a powerful way for businesses of all sizes to reach prospects and customers. Since customers are already interacting with brands through social media, If businesses are not speaking directly to their audience through social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest they're missing out! That is what you have to be able to explain to potential clients. However, there is a strategy that you should take in order to get Social Media Manager Clients. Here's the strategy.
There are many ways to contact business owners. That is why having a system in place is key.
You should be reaching out to potential customers through at least 5 different channels. Your goal isn't just to reach out to businesses. You need to make contact specifically with business owners. Let's discuss the 5 ways you can make contact with business owners.
1. Facebook Messenger- send a short simple message or video through Facebook Messenger with links to your Business Page or Website.
2. Instagram Direct Message- send a short simple message or video through Instagram Direct Message with links to your Business Page or Website.
3. Text - send a short text that links to your website or social media page.
4. Call- call them directly to get contact information so you can send them information and they are ready to learn more.
5. Email- email information about your services to them.
Once you send your initial message you want to make sure you are asking for an action on their part. You can send a calendar for them to book an appointment to go over what you can do for them. You can use Google calendar, Facebook Appointments or other apps and tools. Using such tools provides a more professional approach. You can meet at your office if you have an office or you can meet at a your local library. In most places Libraries have private rooms you can book. Another option is Starbucks, this is my favorite as it is a great way to actually meet more customers who happen to over hear your conversation. Personally, I've gotten many clients this way.
Before you meet with your potential client you should do research before hand. You should know their problem areas. This way when they speak you can let them speak because you already know what they are going to say. When it's your turn to speak you will simply express how you can solve their problems.
The last thing you should do after you ask them do they have any more questions, is ask for the sale.
Thank them for their time and tell them exactly what they need to do to get started.
If you don't take control they will always say they will think it over. But if you take control, they at least know what they need to do to move forward.
